Where did you put it? Did you look at the most recently used files?

I saved a document ,now I can't find it
Let me guess: Was it a document you opened from an e-mail program? If so, I
hope you haven't closed Word since you saved it. Many e-mail programs open attached files into a temporary directory that often is emptied when you shut your computer down. If you look in that temporary directory, you might find your document. The easiest way to find the temp directory for your e-mail program is to open a similar document from a message and hit Save As. Then, when the Save As window opens, click on the address field at the top and write down the entire path from your C: drive to the directory. THEN HIT CANCEL. You might write the newly opened document over your modified one. Go to My Computer and navigate to the temp file and pray that you find your document there. (The prayer is an important part of the process!) I hope this helps! If the document has been saved from e-mail it won't make any difference
whether Word has been closed or not. What is important is that the document has not been reopened and saved. It *may* still be possible to recover your changes.
