In our office, if you send a word attachment, when the person viewing it
opens the attachment, regardless of how it was saved by the person who developed the document, it automatically opens in reading format, with a two page view. How do I change this so that when others open an attachment it opens in normal view? |

You can't do anything to your document to assure that it doesn't open in
Reading Layout view, as this is a setting on the recipient's computer. You can suggest that the recipient disable "Allow starting in Reading Layout" on the General tab of Tools | Options. Some may choose not to do so, but others will be grateful to learn how to do this, as users seem to be quite polarized about this feature. -- Suzanne S.
