Default Having set label type, I cannot type in the address

I have set the size of label, but when I come to type the address after four
letters the next letters drop one line below and so on for each four letters.
I cannot type continuously across the label

Which version of Word?
Are you typing into the Address windows of the Label wizard or have you
added the label to a new document so that you are typing into a table cell?
