Default text to right

Word 2007
when I try to insert any table of content or table of figures, the default
is align as text right to left, so everything is mess up.

I can change it using the left-to-right icon, but everytime I make update
fields, it came back to right to left.

Language is set as english in panel of control, and under microsoft
languange center and everything.

If this happens with all blank documents, see if renaming normal.dotm with
Word closed and then restarting the application makes a difference.

For more on language formatting in Word, see also
