Help!!! Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object is not working an
Good day,
Office 2003, XP. I help people, I troubleshoot but this time, I'm the one who needs help. When I copy an Excel object and paste it "special" (choosing Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object" in a Word document, I get the following message: "MS Office Word can't start the application required to open this object. An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Would you like to repair this feature now?" I click Yes. After what seems to be the repair process, I get a message to the effect that the server application is not available, etc., etc. Went to Add/Remove Programs, repaired MS Office but to no avail. Can someone out there help me? Thank you! |

Hi Helen,
Do you see this problem if you start Windows in Safe Mode? It sounds an awful lot like some outside application may be preventing the OLE server/client connection that's required for creating embedded objects (maybe anti-virus?). Office 2003, XP.
