Default in old Word Documents the date changes to today

When pulling up old word documents the date automatically changes to todays
date.
How do I prevent this?

Change the { DATE } field to { CREATEDATE }, update, and it will show
only the date on which the file was created. (To see the field, select
it and press Shift-F9; to update it, press F9.)
