Default Fields in one document updating other documents

Would it be possible to generate a document with fields that would then
update the fields in three other document templates?

For instance if I had three forms that were all templates that had to have
the same client name, date, purchasing price, etc... Could I create one
template with those fields that when saved would update three other documents?

Thanks.

Not really. You could set the other three documents to update when they were
used, though. Otherwise, consider using mailmerge.

How could I set the other documents to update from the master document's
fields? Do you have a helpful "how to" link? Or what terminology would I
look up in the books we have about Word? Thanks for the reply!
