When creating a form for a template, I want to be able to check a box and
then have that action insert information that relates to that box. I have tried the drop down option but the information is to long to be typed into the dialog box. EX: I have 20 check boxes each one has different information depending on the box number which needs to link to corresponding information. ALL help is appreciated! |

Hi ?B?QmVja3k=?=,
When creating a form for a template, I want to be able to check a box and then have that action insert information that relates to that box. I have tried the drop down option but the information is to long to be typed into the dialog box. EX: I have 20 check boxes each one has different information depending on the box number which needs to link to corresponding information. ALL help is appreciated! This would require a macro solution. Best would probably be to use a plain text field. Entering the field would trigger a macro that displays a UserForm (custom dialog box). This can contain a dropdown. The user makes a selection and the contents of the dropdown are then written to the text field. For the basics of this approach see WD2000: How to Create a Combo Box Containing More Than 25 Items http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;198561 Cindy Meister INTER-Solutions, Switzerland http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister (last update Jun 17 2005) http://www.word.mvps.org This reply is posted in the Newsgroup; please post any follow question or reply in the newsgroup and not by e-mail :-) |
