Default Error Message in Word that deletes the file

I keep getting an error message in Word that tells me I don't have permission
and tries to turn the file into "wrl2051" which I think is a temp file, then
it deletes my file completely. This doesn't always happen - I can work for an
hour. Save the file 3 times during that hour, but the next time I try to save
it gives me the error and deletes the file. I thought it was a virus or worm
and scanned and found nothing. I thought my flash drive was corrupt so I
moved the file. I tried saving the files onto CDs, my computer, and 2 flash
drives. I copied and pasted the files into new files and this still happened.
I even saved it as an html file in Word. I'm starting to think its Word. I
have Word 2000. Please help. Thanks.
