Need to open in Draft
I find the standard Word Layout difficult to parse. I need it to open or at
least save Draft as a permanent preference. It's frustrating to have to use the mouse to set to draft every time I open a document whether new or existing. I can't find any way to do it through Word Options and there's no longer a Set Preferences. I'll write a macro if someone can guide me. Failing that is there a keyboard shortcut for setting the style to draft? Thank you, |

There is a check box to allow starting in Draft view; it's buried somewhere

Need to open in Draft
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have searched Word Options and
can't find any option for opening in draft view. Even the Layout Options list under Advanced Options doesn't seem to have draft view available. Is there something else draft view could be called? Need to open in Draft
Thank you very much. It still won't allow Document 1 to open as a draft, but
anything I save in draft form opens that way. It's a huge improvement. Again, thank you. Need to open in Draft
Have you tried opening the normal.dotm template and changing its view to
Draft? Add and delete a space (to mark the file as modified), and then save and close normal.dotm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Fabrisse" wrote in message ... Thank you very much.
