Mail Merge and Excel Datasource
My datasource in excel lists product codes, the product codes begin with 2
spaces - then the number - space - letter. Example _ _271_A where the _ represents a blank space. When I perform the mail merge I lose the beginning 2 spaces. How can I keep those? Erika |

Mail Merge and Excel Datasource
Hi ?B?RXJpa2E=?=,
My datasource in excel lists product codes, the product codes begin with 2 spaces - then the number - space - letter. Example _ _271_A where the _ represents a blank space. When I perform the mail merge I lose the beginning 2 spaces. How can I keep those? That's going to be very difficult, if not impossible. By default, Word trims leading and trailing spaces. You can try copying the Excel table to a Word document. Save that, then use it as the data source. Does that retain the spaces?
