Word documents are posted to a server, then downloaded across the

Internet.
When I open such a file, the Styles are inconsistent. Most of that I

chalk
up to the originators not knowing how to properly use Word! But somehow I
can't see any of them deliberately selecting and using the "Normal(Web)"
style.

When a Word doc passes into and out of the Internet, does Normal style
automatically become Normal(Web)?
