Default Word 2002 PRN printing error

I have a few users who seemingly at random get a PRN error when they print
in Word. The printer driver has been removed and reinstalled, Windows &
Office XP updates have been installed, and the error continues to resurface.
Microsoft indicates this as a problem but has no solution for it. Given
that this happens only to a few people I'm guessing there is some underlying
cause that I'm just not seeing. They can still print - they just have to
click through the error and then print again. Any ideas on this would be
greatly appreciated.

I suppose a more complete description of the error would be useful. Although
I've not seen it from what I've heard when they print (using a properly
installed default printer - all other programs, including other Office XP
programs, print fine) is PRN error - printer not found.
