My ruler is counting by 4s and I need to return to default.
MY ruler at the top of WORD begins at 2 and shows each succeeding 4th number
(2 6 10 14......). It does not go back to any default if I go to tools-options-general and enter that I would like the ruler to be in inches. Can anyone help me get back to the normal ruler? |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | Measurement units:
choose your preferred unit of measure | OK. If Word won't let you change the setting there, then see http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299339 "You cannot change ruler measurement unit from character units after upgrade to Office XP" or http://www.gmayor.com/Character_Units.htm .
