is there any way to display part of a mergefield
Is there any way to select only part of a mailmerge field to display?
e.g. the merge field displays a date and time in the following format 16/11/05 12:00:00 what I want to do is separate the date and time and change their format. I am stuck with the way the original mergefield is formatted because it comes from a third party. -- working hard to keep you walking |

If you have access to the merge document then it doesn't matter who created
it. Toggle the merge field and add a formatting switch eg {Mergefield fieldname \@ "d MMM yyyy"} -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org thecornman wrote: Is there any way to select only part of a mailmerge field to display? e.g. the merge field displays a date and time in the following format 16/11/05 12:00:00 what I want to do is separate the date and time and change their format.
