Default pasting charts

When I paste an Excel 2003 chart into Word 2003, it comes with gray
background, although it doesn't print. How do I remove the gray background?

ToolsOptionsView and form the pull-down under "Field shading" in the
"Show" section of the dialog, select either "When selected" or "Never"
