Default e-mail addresses for Word mail merge have format error

Using Word Mail Merge for e-mails with data file from Excel. e-mail
addresses are coming through into merge with "#" in place of "." Obviously,
they won't work.

Help!

Default e-mail addresses for Word mail merge have format error

Try attaching the Excel File to the mailmerge main document using the DDE
method. From the Tools menu, select Options and then on the General tab,
check the box against the "Confirm conversions at open" item. Then when you
re-attach the data source, you will be presented with a dialog that allows
you to select the method of connection.
