Default page numbers in mirrored pages, word2007

I use mirrored pages from Page Layout ribbon, but then I can't find the
option to set the page numbers "inside" or "outside" as in word XP.
The only options I have in Design ribbon are the predifined styles for
setting the page numbers at the top or at the bottom of the page.

Am I missing something?

Default page numbers in mirrored pages, word2007

Hi ?B?Z2VvdHNv?=,

I use mirrored pages from Page Layout ribbon, but then I can't find the
option to set the page numbers "inside" or "outside" as in word XP.
The only options I have in Design ribbon are the predifined styles for
setting the page numbers at the top or at the bottom of the page.

How to arrange this depends on what kind of page numbers you're inserting,
and whether you're using different odd/even.

In contrast to earlier versions of Word, 2007 defaults to inserting page
numbers as fields in the text. Before, the simple "insert page number" put
the field in a textbox (Drawing object). This had a tendency to confuse
people, because they'd think they'd deleted the page number, but often left
the textbox container which caused problems. However, only Drawing object
containers (or frames) can be formatted to be "inside" or "outside".

You can do this manually, or you can use the Insert/Page Number/Page
Margins gallery. Many of these selections place the page number in a text
box. You can then use the Format AutoShape/Layout/Advanced/Picture position
dialog box to set the Horizontal position for "Book layout".

An alternate possibility is to activate "Different odd & even pages" and
insert the page number at the left for the one type of page and at the
right (using a right-aligned tab) for the other type of page.
