how do I get rid of the paragraph character?!
I don't know what I did or how the paragraph character got into my MSWord
office 2000 but it is extremely annoying. How do I delete it? All I can find is how to insert it but I don't want it! When I type text into my paper it also has dots and hyphens along with the paragraph character. I want them gone. Please help. |

On the Standard toolbar, click the Show/Hide toggle. It looks like a
paragraph mark. "Lisa" wrote: I don't know what I did or how the paragraph character got into my MSWord office 2000 but it is extremely annoying. How do I delete it? You press CTRL + SHIFT + 8. If you do it again, it will toggle off.
See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm for reasons why you might sometimes want to have nonprinting characters displayed, along with several methods of toggling them on and off. -- Carol A.
