I am trying to send an email with an attachement created in word, and I get

Word is not an e-mail application so the first questions must be 'how' you
are creating the e-mail and with what e-mail software? How are you attaching
the document from what version of Word?

If this is an e-mail issue, you would probably be better asking your
questions in a forum associated to the particular e-mail software.
