Default While typing, cursor Jumps several lines up

Using a laptop. No problem with the touchpad. This often happens when I'm
nowhere near the touchpad.
Thanks for yr. help.

It's still caused by the touch pad - the vibrations of the keyboard is
what causes the cursor to jump.

I have the same problem on mine and I've lowered the sensitivity as
far as it will go. My workaround is to use an external keyboard. :-(

Very many thanks Beth. First logical explanation that would link the
touchpad to the problem. Also, your suggestion to lower the sinsitivity -
sounds right.
I'll try it.
Nonetheless it is odd that with the huge number of laptops using MS Word
- the problem seems to worry so FEW?
Best wishes,
Leo

It happens in all applications on my laptop - it isn't limited to
Word. Perhaps you notice it more because you type more in Word?

Thanks for the info. It happens to me too. I thought it was something I was
doing. It really is a pain especially if you don't notice it right away.
