Default Word 2007 changes into readonly mode

I'm writing a paper with a lot of equations (by MS equation 3.0 in Word
2007). Word
2007 works fine in the beginning but after half an hour or so of editing
equations, its title changes into 'mydoc (readonly) - Microsoft Word' and I
can only save the new modifications to another file (in fact Word 2007 pops
up 'save as' dialog). Any help will be appreciated.
