Delete pages in document
Hi sidcliffe
You need to select the text you don't need, and then press Delete. The easiest way to select a lot of text is to click where you want to start selecting, use the mouse scroll wheel or the scroll bars on the side of the screen to move to where you want to end selecting, hold down Shift and then click with the mouse. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly. Microsoft MVP. http://www.shaunakelly.com/word "sidcliffe" wrote in message ... Word 2002. I have a document with 12 pages. I only want to keep and print page 9. Yes, Shauna's advice will work, why would she say otherwise?
Turn on the ShowAll button and I bet you will find the pages full of blank paragraphs or page breaks. The ShowAll command shortcut is Control+Shift+*. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "sidcliffe" wrote in message ... The ShowAll command shortcut is Control+Shift+*. I queried, because all mention is on text, not page deletion Because Word doesn't know what a page is, that's why. Blank pages are created by text, even if that text consists of places where you hit return and typed no letters, thus creating empty paragraphs. Then the empty paragraphs create the page. Word has no easy way to say "select this page", you have to select the text.
