Nested numbers
How do I get the following to work?
1. item 2. item 3. item a. nested item b. nested item 4. item 5. item c. nested item (should restart at a) d. nested item I've tried everything obvious, i.e., right-click and select restart numbering, etc. Should I create another identical style, except in name, so Word can see the obvious? Thanks for your help. Chuck |

This is called "outline numbering." To set it up unbreakably, see
