Adding Text Fields
I am working on a procurement document/form.
I need to provide fields where users enter their several line comment. To handle this I have entered the field Macro Button and used the DoFieldClick macro nameand then entered in the Display Text "PLease enter your comments here. I have put this in a table one row and one column wide so that as they enter text everything below moves down. Is this the best way to do it? |

Adding Text Fields
Using MACROBUTTON fields works well when you are creating simple
forms (as you have noticed); it is one of the methods mentioned at http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...nTheBlanks.htm. Whether it is the best method depends on what you are trying to achieve, though... For example, if the data entered by users should be re-used somewhere else in the document, a protected form might work better (see also http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Repeating_Data.htm). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP wrote in message ...
