Table Captions at multiple heading levels
I have a file with several levels of headings and I want table captions at
the various levels. Example. 1 Main level Table 1-1 1.1 Second Level heading Table 1.1-1 Table 1.1-2 1.1.1 Third level heading Table 1.1.1-1 2 Main Level two 2.1 Second level heading Table 2.1-1 Does anyone know how to get this to work with captions so I can get these to reflect in the table of contents. Table Captions at multiple heading levels
The conventional wisdom is to give up trying. You can include a "chapter
number" in your table captions (the number must be the paragraph number of one of Word's built-in heading styles), but most experts advise against restarting numbering more often than once per chapter. -- Suzanne S.
