Default how to use the mail merge in word with an exel file withdecimals?

can someone please send me step by step dirrections on how to use the mail
merge in word when using an excel file with decimals. the problem I'm having
is that the decimas for example 10.5 comes out 10.4999 and that is not what I
wrote on the excel file. I'm printing onto multiple address lables (Avery
8160)
