Default How do I set my cursor position?

I've worked for years mainly in page layout view, and my cursor "home"
position has always been at the top left-hand margin on my page. Now it's at
the very top of the page, and nothing I seem to do (page set-up) seems to
work to fix this. Using Microsoft Word 2003. Any hints would be most
welcome!

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "White space
between pages" box | OK.
