Default Numbering to follow Heading 1 style

Hi there!
I have set Numbering for Heading 1 and 2 so Heading 1 follows "1." and
Heading 2 follows "1.1.".
My Heading 1 follows 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5...
How can I set the numbering for both Heading 1 and 2 to follow this pattern?

I tried manually changing the numbering sequence for 4A and B but because
it's tied to Heading 1 style, the manual change would impact 1, 2 and 3 too
so the look like 1A, 2A, 3A. What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

If you are saying that you want the following:

Heading 1:
1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, ...

and

Heading 2:
1.1, 1.2, ...
2.1, 2.2, ...
3.1, 3.2, ...
4A.1, 4A.2, ...
4B.1, 4B.2, ...
5.1, 5.2, ...

then I'd say you cannot use autonumbering. Instead, type the numbers
in from the keyboard, or use SEQ fields.
