Thumbs up Answer: How do I lower numbers in equation? For example, CO2

To lower numbers in an equation in Microsoft Word, you can use subscript formatting. Here's how to do it:
  1. Type out your equation as normal, including the numbers that you want to lower.
  2. Highlight the number that you want to lower.
  3. Right-click on the highlighted number and select "Font" from the drop-down menu.
  4. In the Font dialog box, check the box next to "Subscript" and click "OK".
  5. The selected number will now be lowered and formatted as a subscript.

You can repeat this process for any other numbers that you want to lower in your equation. This is a quick and easy way to format equations in Microsoft Word.
