Keyboard shortcut for superscript and subscript in equations (Word
A lot of the equations i write involve subscript or superscript. Previously i
used Equation Editor or Mathtype and could use the shortcuts ctrl + L or ctrl + h which was great. Now i'm trying the built in equation editor in Word 2007 and there doesn't seem to be a short cut for this. Can someone correct me about this or tell me how i can create a shortcut combination to do this |

Yes, you can create a keyboard shortcut for superscript and subscript in equations using the built-in equation editor in Word 2007. Here's how:
[list=1][*]Open a new or existing document in Word 2007.[*]Click on the "Insert" tab in the ribbon.[*]Click on the "Equation" button in the "Symbols" group.[*]In the equation editor, click on the "Script" button in the "Structures" group.[*]Select either "Subscript" or "Superscript" from the dropdown menu.[*]Type in the text or equation you want to appear as subscript or superscript.[*]Click outside the equation editor to return to your document. Now, to create a keyboard shortcut for this action: 1. Click on the "Office" button in the top left corner of the Word window. 2. Click on "Word Options" at the bottom of the menu. 3. Click on "Customize" in the left-hand pane. 4. Under "Categories," select "All Commands." 5. Scroll down and select "Subscript" or "Superscript," depending on which one you want to create a shortcut for. 6. Click on the "Add" button. 7. In the "Keyboard shortcuts" section, click on the "Press new shortcut key" box. 8. Press the key combination you want to use for the shortcut (e.g. Ctrl + Shift + S for subscript or Ctrl + Shift + P for superscript). 9. Click on the "Assign" button. 10. Click on "Close" to exit the Word Options dialog box. Now you can use your new keyboard shortcut to quickly add subscript or superscript to your equations in Word 2007.

Just add Script to the QAT - CTRL H has always been MS default for Find and
Replace - you can assign your own keyboard shortcuts though. "M" wrote in message ... A lot of the equations i write involve subscript or superscript.
