I have learned to build an index table.

Are you confusing Index with Table of Contents? Indexes (conventionally at
the end of the document) are automatically sorted alphabetically. Tables of Content, near the front, are automatically sorted by page. "Puzzled Indexer" Puzzled wrote in message ... I have learned to build an index table. Now is there a way to sort the table by page or alphabet?? |

Are you perhaps referring to a 'Concordance File"... a two-column table
document that contains the listing of your intended Index entries in another document? If so, the entries will be alphabetized automatically when you actually Insert the index. Otherwise, post back with a clearer indication of what you mean. HTH |:) "Puzzled Indexer" wrote: I have learned to build an index table. Now is there a way to sort the table by page or alphabet?? |
