I am trying to create a Master Document in Word 2007 and it doesnt seem
capable of doing it (as easily as in 2003). 'Help' has no reference to
'Master Document'. Any suggestions??

I don't use Word 2007, but my understanding is that this function has not
been changed for the better. You would be better creating a single large
document.

Hi ?B?TWl0Y2ggQnJhZGxleQ==?=,

I am trying to create a Master Document in Word 2007 and it doesnt seem
capable of doing it (as easily as in 2003). 'Help' has no reference to
'Master Document'.

It's basically in the same place, just looks a bit different. Switch to
the Outline view; the "Outlining" tab should appear.

Click the "Show Document" button in the "Master Document" group to display
the buttons for working with a Master document. All the same buttons are
there, with some different captions. But the information in the tooltips
is quite good as to what each button does.

Hi Tomo,

MS had said that they didn't focus on this area in Word 2007. There may be some increased stability as a result from other internal
changes, but it would be more situational. The feature is still one that seems to need too many 'notes to self' to keep with you
when working on them to be reliable except in 'publish when done writing' scenarios perhaps.
