Macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of Macro settin
Dear Word gurus,
We recently converted our PCs from Office 2002 to Office 2003 (and Windows XP). Our computer users have macro buttons set up in Word to access company templates for faxes, letters, etc. One of our users has been experiencing problems when he clicks a macro button, and he receives the "macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of macro settings" option. We've changed his security level to either medium or low with no success! The templates are not in his startup folder, but live on a network drive similar to other users. Do you have any suggestions what might be causing this issue. The only special software he has loaded is Adobe Acrobat. Regards JD2 |

Hi Graham,
Thank you for the quick response. However, these settings are already in place. Any other suggestions on how to overcome this issue? Hi Suzanne,
Thank you for your response. I've finally tested your suggestion, but this has not resolved the issue. Do you have any other ideas? It's worth noting that we have had these template buttons loaded on over 400 PCs for over 4 years, and haven't seen this issue before. I'm wondering if Adobe Acrobat Professional may be causing issues as this is the only program the PC has that is different from the norm? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Regards JD2 "Suzanne S. Dear Suzanne,
Since my earlier message I have been able to rectify the problem by running an Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.05 patch, and setting up the buttons again. Thanks for the time and effort anyway!
