Default Three Underscores to create a page wide line

Saw this post in the windows XP-General newsgroup and it piqued my curiosity.
Never realized that Word had this capability. Is there a way in Word 2003 to
accomplish the action described in the original post below? TIA:

At one time my Word program would draw a line across the page if I typed
three underscores , ___ but this no longer works. Is there a setting for it?
Help is appreciated.

This is an AutoFormat As You Type option (in the AutoCorrect dialog
box). For more information, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...tRidOfLine.htm.

My Word 2000 does this with three hyphens, then a return - not underscores.

Try it with three underscores, different kind of border is all.
See http://www.addbalance.com/word/borders.htm for more on this and the
different characters you can use to make different borders.
