Default Word 2003 - linked document (Includetext) with PCL5e code - Ignori

I have a primary Word document with Includetext to link several secondary
Word documents into my primary document. One of my secondary documents is
setup to print Duplex. Using the Print option in the secondary document I
define the PCL5E code for duplexing.

{Print 27 "&l1S"}

If I print the secondary document using PCL code by itself it prints
correctly in duplex mode (Word 2003). If I add the PCL code to the primary
document using Word 2003 the entire document duplexes.

If I print the primary document from Word 2000 with PCL code embedded in the
secondary document it prints correctly in duplex mode.

However, when running the primary document from Word2003, the secondary
document no longer duplexes even thou it contains the PCL code. It appears
that Word 2003 is treating linked documents (Includetext) differently,
thereby the PCL code in the secondary document is either being ignored or
converted to something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
