Keep changed style from being added
When I go into or start what I know will be a long document, I usually add
styles to the page. However - almost every time something is formatted in the page (in some area that is not covered by a style), MS Word (2003) adds that formatting automatically to the style list. How can I turn this off, so I can only have a list of styles that I define? |

In Tools Options Edit, uncheck the one for "Keep track of formatting".
