Default I am longtime WordPerfect user - need help

I need to make an index listing of Detail Specifications. In wordperfect I
would list the Section Name - hit alt f7 (twice) the first f7 flushes my
cursor point to the right and the second f7 give me a dot leader across from
the title of the Section so that I can enter my page number and make it
easier to follow from the title to the page number across the page.

I cannot figure out how to type something on the left side of the page then
get my cursor to flush right to type the next part. I also would like to
know if it is possible to get the dot leaders to go across the page - like
you use in an index or table of contents?

thanks for your help.

You need a right-aligned tab with a period leader. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm. But also see
