Default How can I make permanent additions to autocorrect options in Word.

In Word 2000, I could add lasting autocorrections by selecting them and
entering a few letters which, when typed in a document, brought up the
correction.

When I try to do the same in Word 2003, the new autocorrection is available
only until I close the application.

How do I make lasting autocorrections?

The same way. Are you being prompted to OK changes made to normal.dot? If
so, do you OK the changes? Autocorrect is stored in .acl files. AutoText is
stored in templates. Do you have write access to the folders where these are
being stored?

What happens if you close Word and restart it, without logging out or
shutting down your computer in between? Is your AC available then?
