Default font consistency

I am trying to make all characters new times roman size 12; however, there
are sections where the characters are closer together.

Also, the space between paragraphs is inconsistent. Some are 2 line spaces
apart, while others seems to be 1.5 line spaces apart in spite of my trying
to make them all 2 line spaces apart.

Please help!

Not enough information to give much help with, but you are probably
encountering Section Breaks. Be sure the Apply To indicates the entire
document, not just the current section.
