Keyboard Shortcut for Style button
If you're using Word 2003 or earlier, use Ctrl+Shift+S. Select the desired
style (e.g., by using the cursor keys and/or by starting to type the style you're looking for), and press Enter when the style is selected. If you're using Word 2007, you can still use Ctrl+Shift+S, but it activates the Apply Styles box. You can use it to apply a style, but the Apply Styles box doesn't disappear (Ctrl+Space, C will close it if it has the focus). -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "Elaine" wrote in message ... Hi Elaine,
In addition, in Word 2007 pressing Alt+Ctrl+Shift+S opens the Styles pane, which is not the same as the Apply Styles dialog box. -- Hope this helps, Pesach Shelnitz "Herb Tyson [MVP]" wrote: If you're using Word 2003 or earlier, use Ctrl+Shift+S. In Word 2007, you can press Alt to activate accelerator keys; this works for
the QAT as well as the ribbon. For example, in my installation of Word, I can use Alt 4 to activate the Style box on the QAT (probably because the Style box happens to be the fourth item on my QAT). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Herb Tyson [MVP]" wrote in message ...
