Usually it helps to use that big empty box on the web page to type in some
description of what the problem is. :-)

In the tradition of the Great Carsoni, I'll hold your post to my forehead
and announce "The question is... How can I select the picture so I can
delete it?"

That depends on how the picture was inserted and where. The leading
candidates a

- The picture was inserted in the body of the text and formatted as "behind
text". In that case, display the Drawing toolbar, click the big white Select
Objects arrow, and click the picture.

- The picture was inserted in a header or footer. First open the header or
footer area (double-click the header/footer, or use the View Header and
Footer command), then use the Select Objects arrow.

- The picture was inserted with the Format Background Printed Watermark
command. That's really the same thing as putting it in the header.
