Thumbs up Super Specialty Dental Care Clinics

When it comes to dental care we are familiar with the old fashioned family dental clinic. Most of us are unaware of the silent revolution that is happening in this field. The Dental Care Clinic are no longer the old school type. They have converted themselves to super specialty centers which can solve all our mouth related issues. The super specialty dental clinics will generally have an endodontist, oral and maxiofacial radiologist, oral and maxiofacial surgeon and oral pathologist. In addition to these specialty treatments they will also have a basic dentist and an oral hygienist. Each of the patients will be first taken to the dentist and he will do a thorough examination of his mouth. By this checkup all the oral problems including cavities and gum diseases can be discovered.
After the basic checkup the patent will be referred to the specialists if they are in need of it. The endodontist will be concerned with the issues regarding the internal teeth including dental pulp and dental nerve. If the decay has resulted in the infection of dentine or pulp or has caused damage of roots then the only possible way to prevent tooth extraction is the root canal process. An Endodontist does these procedures. An oral pathologist examines the causes of various mouth diseases and conducts the biopsy of the tissues provided to him. A radiologist does oral x-rays and examines them with other specialists to find the extent of tooth damage.
