Default Insert Object -> Display as Link

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Since that time, whenever I use
Insert Object Adobe Acrobat File, I still need to check the "Display as
Link" checkbox. In the past this was selected by default. Does anyone know
where this setting is stored, and how I can change it to be checked by
default?

I have this problem with Adobe Reader, Standard and Professional in Word
2000 and 2003.

Thanks in advance

Acrobat 7 has a few problems with its add-in - notably that it will not
allow changes to be saved in normal.dot. This may be a reflection of that.
See http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm for
workaround.

Thanks Graham,

Acrobat 7 is definitely not in my good books of late, while your page does
answer some other interesting questions, it didn't appear to fix this one - I
did try to force the changes to Normal.dot, but in this case it doesn't
appear to be related to the template. I can add an object, check "Display as
Link", and then turn around and add another and it defaults back to being
unchecked. Any other suggestions that you might have would be most
appreciated.

Thanks
