Default Margins seem to be moving??

When printing a Word document, the first 1 or 2 pages will print ok, but
subsequent pages get "shifted" over to the right, and the right side of the
page gets cut off. We have uninstalled and re-installed Office (2000 small
business), and re-applied all of the updates, but we still have the same
problem. If we take the same document and print it on another workstation, it
prints ok.

OS is Windows 2000 pro, which also has all of the critical updates
installed. We have also done virus scans using Symantec Corporate Edition and
Panda ActiveScan, and an Adware scan using Ad-Aware.

Look into upgrading the printer driver. Go to the manufacturer's web site and look
around.

I don't see how this could be anything but a printer problem.

We have tried both the built-in Windows XP Pro drivers, and the newest HP PCL
drivers. We have also physically swapped the printer out for another one of
the same model. (It is a HP Laserjet 1100) The same problem was present all
along.

What do the documents look like onscreen? In Print Preview? Do they contain
more than one section?

It is just a single page document. If we try to print, say, 10 copies of the
document, the first 2 or 3 pages are ok, then it all shifts to the right on
the printed page.

If we're talking about multiple copies of the same document, then I don't
see how it could possibly be a Word issue since Word is sending it to the
printer (or spool file) only once.

Default Margins seem to be moving??

Is it just this one page document that is causing the problem?

When was it created? I have heard of instances where a document
created when one set of printer drivers are installed can then cause
issues when printing to a new set of drivers.

Since it's only a single page, you could try recreating it (I mean
simply retyping it as cutting and pasting may drag across any
settings).

Best of luck.
