greeting line will not display names in format chosen
I'm trying to mail merge. Address comes up in format I choose eg. Doug and
Ashley Jones. However, when I choose "greeting line" and choose format, Dear Doug and Ashley, it does not merge. Instead it continues to include the last name. How do I fix this? |

You must of course have a field in the data source that contains just the
Doug and Ashley. Assuming that you have the necessary fields, just insert those fields directly in the configuration that you require. If you only have a field that contains Doug and Ashley Jones, there is no way that you can get mail merge to strip off the Jones. -- Hope this helps.
