Did you save and close the file before you allowed your computer to
hibernate?

Hibernation should have no effect on applications running at the time.
That's the whole point of it!
If Word has been closed by an unattended update before you saved the
document then there is nothing to recover. In future save often and don't
allow Windows to automatically update your system.

The critical question before we can give a serious answer is did you
actually save the document at any time prior to the hibernation?
