4 word forms on 1 paper page.
I have created a full page (81/2 x 11) form, (actually a simple receipt). I
would now like to take that form, shrink it and put 4 of them on one sheet of paper. After printing, I will then cut the paper and have 4 forms/receipts that are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Someone did it for me once a long while ago and they used paint and word. Somehow pasting one to the other. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No need for Paint and paste.
In the Print dialog, in the lower right, set the "Pages per sheet" dropdown to 4. Then, in the Pages box under "Page range", type 1,1,1,1 to get four copies of page 1. They'll all print on one sheet, automatically resized. Hi Graham, My 4 forms look great on the 1 page but the problem I have now is
that when I cut the page to separate the forms, the margins on the cut-lines become smaller. Perhaps that is why the person who did it for me once in the past used the paint and paste method. versions of the document. Hi Graham, That kinda brings me back to my original question- How do i do that? Cut and Paste? Is the paint program involved? If not, then after creating a four cell table, do I need to manually produce (retype 4 times)the form in each cell, separately? Each cell, naturally, is smaller than my original 1 page version and therefore it becomes more difficult to manipulate the text accurately in such a small space/cell manually. This is why I'm thinking...'if I could only reduce the size of my original and just paste it into a four cell table'.... You can select and edit paste special as a picture the selected
document into a fixed width table cell, but this is altogether more fiddly to produce a shrunken document than the print 4 to a page method. It might help if you were to download the trial version of SnagIt 8 www.techsmith.com and use its 'printer' output to 'print' to a graphic format file.
