Wrong format on page numbers
In my heades I have "page x of y" - but when my text has a new section with a
heading "2. heading text" it suddenly is displayed like "page 2-9 of 10" instead of just "page 9 of 10". Section 1 has the same style of formatting of the heading - so I can't really see what's wrong The same number format is shown in my TOC for section 2 and on. -- Diane |

Wrong format on page numbers
In the Page Number Format dialog box (for each Word section), clear the
"Include chapter number" option, and click OK. To display the dialog box: Activate the header/footer area (for example by double-clicking it). In Word 2003, click the Format Page Number button on the Header and Footer toolbar. In Word 2007, click Page Number (on the Header & Footer Tools: Design ribbon tab), and then click Format Page Number. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "DianePDavies" wrote in message ...
