Placing sideways text outside the margin
How do I place sideways text (ie. a page number) outside the left hand margin
area of a landscape document? I think I understand the sideways part, but how do I put something outside the defined margin area? It isn't a header of footer since it's on the side. Much thanks! |

You could use a text box.

Placing sideways text outside the margin
A header/footer can be anywhere on the page - its is simply something in the
header/footer plane of the document. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Bronco wrote: How do I place sideways text (ie. a page number) outside the left hand margin area of a landscape document? Placing sideways text outside the margin
Put a frame or textbox in the header or footer. Put a page number field in
it. Use the button on the tables and borders toolbar to turn it sideways. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome!
